        Itsuwari no Musette
      music: Mana, Lyrics: Gackt C.

I still feel nothing at being made to dance
But burn both hands that I had reached out
And repeated the words, the truth to display these lies
To someone who had seemed to be kind
Odorasareru koto wa ima mou nani
              mo kanjinai
Boku wa sashi-dashita ryoute o kogashite
Kuri-kaesu kotoba wa uso o narabeta shinjitsu
Yasashii kao shita dare ka ni kuri-kaesu
I will sing the poetry of the world beneath a sun of lies
And will sing till after even my body withers away
Uso no taiyou no shita de daichi
no shi o kuchi ni shite
Boku no kono sugata sae kiete naku naru made
I stretch up my palm to the sky and only now
Remember merely a little of my forgotten pain, roll it in my hands
And place you letter away in my pocket
I can't say anything to anyone, I'll keep it only for me
            Tanagokoro o sora ni kazashite
              wasureta itami o ima dake
Honno sukoshi omoidashite te no naka de korogasu
Kimi kara no tegami o poketto ni shimatte
Dare ni mo iezu boku dake no mono ni

Even now the joyous people don't stop their clapping
In my adorned musette of falsities
Yorokobu hito wa ima mo te o
              tataku koto o tomenai
Sou boku wa kazarareta itsuwari no musette
       *The Mendacious Musette

I had a hard time with this song in particular,
partually because I don't know what a musetté is.
The closest is musette, without the accent, which means a horse muzzle and
kind of makes sense here but probably shouldn't.
It can also mean a dance, maybe. The music itself is interesting. When I first
heard this song I had an image of an abandoned carnival, all in white.
The members of the band were still working there. The carnival had been closed
down but they had l gone home and realized they had nothing to do,
so they all simply came back to work like they always had. In the end they
gave a band performance to an empty room and comitted a group suiside
using wires like the ones from "The Cube", which were little and
thin and cut someone up into itty pieces.
That mental movie will always be more important to me than the words, which
seem to be about pan and circus
(feed and entertain people and you can rule the world) and a bunch of puppet
like people who have no clue that they are completely out of it.
It's a kind of precursor to Bois de Merveilles imho.
