Rise To Heaven

song: Hora/ lyrics: Kaya

Tired of praying for this world's sweet fall
Prayers unanswered...
I turn to the long closed rusty grating
And open the window

kaguwashii hametsu e no
inori wa karehate
sabitsuita
mado wo akeru

Striking the bell brilliant as it rings,
Chimes and sparkles...
All at once now I can feel myself
Rise up to greet you

kagayaku kane wo uchi
narashite ima sugu
anata wo
mukae ni yuku wa

Infolded in white light I feel myself reborn
Light pouring into me so much it hurts
Tearing open my wounds,
my fleeting dreams once more
Passing right through me, splitting my scars

Ushering in daybreak with light that has the force
To break into bit all the things that had hurt
Revives tangled memories,
scatters their pieces round
Inside this light I'll show you a new morn

umare kawaru shiroi hikari
itamu hodo nisosoide
awai yume to kizu wo saite
kono karada wo tsurameku

karamitsuita kiokutachi wo
konagona ni kowasu no
hikari ahure atarashii
asa wo misete ageru wa

Though I believed your voice,
even it turned to lies
And I'd detested the open blue skies
Broken and wandering, starting to flicker out
Those promises are all so far away now

My nightmares stripped away
join with the darkness to
Together fade away as they sink down
All of your useless songs,
that useless voice of yours
I don't need any of you anymore

shinjita koe mo uso ni natte
aoi sora o nikunda
togiretogire boyakete yuku
Ima ha tooi yakusoku

hagarete yuku kiokutachi o
shizunde yuku kurayami
muda na koe mo muda na uta mo
atashi wa mou iranai

Infolded in white light I feel myself reborn
Light pouring into me so much it hurts
Tearing open my wounds,
my fleeting dreams once more
Passing right through me, splitting my scars

Ushering in daybreak with light that has the force
To break into bit all the things that had hurt
Revives tangled memories,
scatters their pieces round
Inside this light I'll show you a new morn

umare kawaru shiroi hikari
itamu hodo ni sosoide
awai yume to kizu wo saite
kono karada wo tsurameku

karamitsuita kiokutachi wo
konagona ni kowasu no
hikari ahure atarashii
asa wo misete ageru wa

This wasn't my favorite song musically, and it had already been translated, so I hadn't even read the lyrics until today... In fact, I only started translating Schwarz Stein because an aquaintance asked me to do Kaya's diary entries about 2 years ago. I was bored and pointlessly existent so I agreed (laughs)

...but somehow they grew on my over the past year and a half.....and now that I read this I've had some experiences and...

I don't think he was lying; I just don't think he could see reality. And thinking back, I do believe he loved me in his own definition of love and...ah, what am I saying? No one wants to hear about me~(bitter laugh)

But really, I have a feeling a lot of you reading this are hoping to go to Japan at some point. Just...be careful who you trust. Especially if they're connected to the gothic/nichome culture. Some of the people are there to have fun, but some of them are there because they have real problems, and that is something you shouldn't take lightly.

Sorry for the seriousness. suman, suman, sumanasama : P
