On the Dixmas Party II

Horaemon and Kazunobita

K: I did Kazunobita, but after I'd done the make up and put on the glasses, Manasama saw me and was like, "Is that a fake nose?"
All: *burst out laughing*
K: I was thinking, "Aw, not another Horaemon..."
T: I was there at the time. I was gonna put on my lipstick, but it was kinda trippy and so I didn't.
But Kazuno didn't laugh, and Manasama wasn't joking around or anything, like he was serious.
K: Yeah, he really was.
T: It seemed like he was thinking "Hmm, maybe Kazuno brought his own nose-glasses and changed plans a bit."
K: Even though it was my own nose...
T: Then when he realized it wasn't he got this really troubled expression, and that was pretty funny too.
M: Well, normally I hadn't paid attention to his nose...
J: His eye maku-up was bigger than normal too, so he looked kinda like Kent Delicate (commedian).
T:The Mana version of "Saigaken" is interesting...who thought up the lyrics?
M: Horaemon.
J: He said Horaemon (laughs)

*lyrics insert*

Always, usually Manasama
Must have curry before he leaves the house
Why is it when you're with Manasama
He only lets you eat curry, huh...

Really He's rotten right through
Really What's this darkness stuff anyway?
Really He talks just fine you know
And why is it, I do not know
But in truth, he dearly loves wrestling (translator note: methinks that's about Hora though XD long story)

M A N A Mana
M A N A Mana

Before he swooped down on the darkness
But he's really from Hiroshima"

*end lyrics*

T: You're okay with those lyrics?
M: Well... if they're a silly convo-starter they're okay, no? After all, if you say "Manasama" everyone probably thinks "curry" anyway. So I was the one who told him to add on to the curry stories in the song.
All: *burst out laughing*
T: Yeah, like I thought, you're an entertainer at heart.
J: It was the first time I heard Kazuno sing, so it was something new.
K: It was my first vocal; I was pretty worried.

......
On what they did for new years:

What did you do for new Years?

M: I went back home and made my younger sister's baby cry. I guess it was because it didn't know me. It was only born last year, and so that was alright but still...to the end, it was nostalgic, and a bit sad and lonely. I bought her a car but she won't use it!"

T: I want to the Okutama hot springs. There was a lot of snow and it was amazingly cold.

K: I had wani, like I do every year.

J: This time was rice balls in a soy sauce base (as opposed to the answer he gave about salt based ones in the last volume)
Then I went to my first first temple visit of the year.

The intro to Dix Thingy II

M: Ohh baby, I Casmine (no meaning; Mana just says it sometimes cause he likes the sound). Today's our new year's party; let's dance, make merry, and drink Jack Daniels the good old rocker way!

T: Drink one bottle and you'll feel it in your soul-!

J, K: Okay, but we have to ride the subway, so we want to go home at 11 or so...

M: What!?! If you're real Rockers, you can't care about time! This is a New Years Party! A rocker's life's roses and wine!

Remember that, baby~

T: Oh, oh, you two~ Don't say such silly things. Today we'll fix your childish ways!

K: Yeah! Now I feel it in my soul~!

J: But, I have to go home and feed my goldfish...

T: That aint cute. You're not feelin' it yet.
Tonight we'll teach you the laws of the Rock world. Prepare yourself!

J: I that so...

M: It's our ALL NIGHT PARTY!...baby

*caution: The expressions have been a little deformed [by Mana]*

[ on t.A.B.u] for the Dix Infernal Part II (okay, I forgot what it's called)

J: How was it being a high school girl? In the end I got to liking it. It was fun doing something I don't usually do; I kept forgetting who I was.
K: He concentrated so hard on not losing to himself. High School Girl Juka was running all around the dressing room; he looked so happy.
J: Well, I was High School Girl, so naturally I had to be bimbo.
T: Juka was in a position where he'd like to be fondled though, no?
All: yeah, yeah
T: Leaving your own story is a good feeling I suppose.
J: Ahaha (laughs)
T: You're saying in a loud soliloque so everyone can hear, "There are Kogaru like this in Shibuya!"
I keep thinking, "Gosh, this is great." (laughs)
When everyone was preparing and getting busy, you had a lot more speaches than usually.
K: I think so too, now that you mention it.
M: He really got to liking it. Kinda like afterwards he might stick with cross dressing (laughs)
T: Like he might go solo that way (laughs) There was a camera in the hallway backstage on standbye but still, he was aaaalways loitering around the hallway.
He was a completely different person from his MdM self, going wherever the cameras were. Like we're taking Kaya's picture, but Jukako's still in the background somehow...
J: (laughs)
T: He even thought about his legs, trying stockings on and taking them off and stuff like that. Like he was all uzai* (laughs) If I say "uzai" again I'll get maulled by all the Juka fans.
J: No, no, it was my first time cross dressing, but in the end I liked it a lot.
All: We thought so!
K: There's no mistaking it.
T: Like you were finally living it up.
J: Ahh no...but it was fun!
T: Looks like normally you're having no fun then (laughs)

August and September 2003

Oo-Zadankai 2003

M: Ichikawa was sold out for the first day, hm.
T: The audience helped us out a lot then.
K: Yeah, they really did. The moment the curtain opened everyone raised there hands and did the dix thing, and it really felt like the showd started.
M: It was my new guitars debut, and I was there playing it so everyone could see it really well.
The MC introduced it too (laughs) And we did the Japanet Moi Dix Mois...
There were a bunch of goods Id designed and wanted to introduce, and I made a corner for them for the MC and everything.
T: When we got to the guitar part Juka said, Ill explain~! and then snorted over what hed said all by himself.
J: Huh...did I really?
T: That, thats becoming worrisome (laughs) There are various Juka likes Jukas self things that come out from time to time.
M: It was the day the new songs debued too. There were a number of new songs, but Pageant is a so called pop-number and I was doubting if its really okay to play it in MdM.
But even while I was unsure I tried it, and when the whole hall was swaying back and forth I felt maybe Id shown a new MdM.
When I tried it out, there was too much of a difference between it and the other songs, and I felt I couldnt get over it, like maybe I should have raised the tempo and stuff. But in Kyoto I got familiar with it. I got caught up in the notion that MdM=far away, but I noticed how good the tempo and feel of the song was.
So I broke down that notion for Pageant. This songs been a discovery for me. Its got a good feeling. Its a song Ive developed over all the lives.
T: Yeah, we got to understand how to handle it through playing it at lives. When Juka was MCing at the Yokohama live, I dont know what he was thinking, but he said, Today all the ticketsve been sold out through Mon Amour ......and it was a really sad kind of MC (laughs). It was originally suppose to be all happy and everything. At the time Mana was facing the back and tuning his guitar, but his hands went still for a moment... M: Oi, oi, I thought. And, for the MC wed planned out Rock Star Mana, in the last Madousho, and Kazuno was suppose to use Rock Star Mana speak while I feigned talking, but it was normal Kazuno speak.
It was like Ara? I thought Id asked for Rock Star but....
K: I tried so hard, but in vane. I thought I had to play the part to the end, but then I was like, Everybody genki~? and it seemed kinda normal didnt it...
J: There was some girl who kept touching herself the entire time.
T: And just how are we suppose to discuss that?
J: Uh..I dunno, like say maybe it was a Sabatt so it's alright or something?..or something...
M: ??
T: And because you made a pointless comment, this is suppose to clear up everything that happened?
J: Oh! We can use that! *everyone goes silent*
- Is he really like this? Always?
All: Yes (big laugh)

M: Niigata was really easy to do. It looks like the person on PA liked black metal, and when we got to the hall he had black metal there already and stuff.
T: Someone who likes that kind of music can go along with what we want to do and perform easily, and it makes performing easy.
M: Right.
K: I made a mistake though. In the encore I knocked over the goat horn! The voltage was too high and I completely forgot how low the ceiling was, and when I raised my arm, thunk...I stuck it back on so no one would notice and went about like nothing had happened, but I think the fans in the front noticed.
T: And then there was the incident were Manasama kind of fell from the stage. That was when I got to see some of the greatness of Manasama! He being him, he fell at a 45 degree angle. Normally, everyone has a Ahh! kind of expression, but he just fell over with the same expression as always.
M: Its alright if everyone goes forward, but if you touch my guitar and it gets caught I wont be able to play, and so its become like this. In the show caution part of the Madousho theres an illustration, and I wrote it into there. I want to think that the person who grabbed my guitar definitely wasnt a member of Mon Amour...and in the launch, as revenge for the time before I had to settle for the Niigata rice. There was a staff member born in Niigata, and so he brought some and I learned how to make some local things. It tastes like grandma.
T: At the launch of the tour the meeting took longer than last time, and there was an arguement and some people even ended up crying.
to be continued...

Not translations, just basic ideas.

What's good about Mana?
his voice and how he actually does things, and how it feels like he's working with everyone else and he's a good band leader (Tohru) *I think*
EVERYTHING CAUSE I LOVE THE MANA (Juka)
"Mana's good point is that he produced MMM, and he produced MdM; he's a man of many talents. And today he produced my hair *fluffs head*." (Kazuno)

Bad point:
"Before shows the first thing he does is check what's for lunch. If he likes it, it's all good, but if he doesn't he pouts" (Kazuno)
He walks like Manasama walks So he'll want to play his guitar after the show, and he'll drag it into the elevator and it'll get caught like "GAN". It's like maybe it'll break, but he's just like '_' and gets in the elevator. Maybe he should pay more attention to things like that. (Tohru) *I think that was it, at least*
I LOVE THE MANA. HE IS GREAT LIKE BEETHOVEN (Juka)
