Mochi

- 1 cup mochiko (sweet rice flour)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup boiling water
- green tea, strawberry, etc. power or flavoring

anko filling (canned bean paste)


1. Mix the mochiko and sugar, flavored powder if desired. Add the boiling water and mix with a spoon.
2. Steam in a steamer for 25 minutes.
3. Remove and break off lumps off. Flatten and place a bit of anko in the center. Then fold the edges around the anko.
4. Cover lightly with potato starch.
